Andy Samberg, Craig Robinson and Common Are Teaming Up for a Stoner Superhero Comedy

Smoking up in 'Super High' will give the stars special powers

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to be put on notice, with Andy SambergCraig Robinson and Common ascending to new heights in a stoner superhero comedy.

Deadline reports that New Line Cinema has won the pitch rights to Super High, in which Samberg, Robinson and Common will star. The site writes that "according to sources, the film is a superhero comedy where smoking special weed gives you super powers."

The trio will also serve as producers alongside 3 Arts' Mark Schulman, Richard Abate and Will Rowbotham, Party Over Here, and Narrative's Shelby Stone and Derek Dudley. Super High will be written by Adam Mansbach, based on the story he created with Shamier Anderson.

Samberg and Robinson are well-acquainted following their team-ups on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, though the cop sitcom won't return to the air until at least 2021.
