Last year, Gilmore Girls fans finally got some closure with the release of Netflix's revival series A Year in the Life. That said, since the series concluded, everyone's been wondering if and when they'll make more.

In the past, Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino was reportedly in "very preliminary" talks for more episodes, but then her Amazon series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was picked up for two seasons, leading some to believe that Gilmore Girls was finished. Now, however, Sherman-Palladino has opened the door for more speculation.

Speaking with Radio Times, Sherman-Palladino said the door remains open for her to go back to the series should she choose to. "We carved out a little niche for ourselves with Amazon saying that if we ever want to do it, if the girls and us get together and we have a concept that works, then we have the freedom to do it," she said.

That said, it would take something special for the gang to get back together. After all, producing the show is a lot of work.

"[We would all have to be] in the same drunken mood together to go repaint Stars Hollow again," she added. "Because we had to repaint Stars Hollow, and we'll have to repaint it again. But it's definitely possible."

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will hit Amazon later this month.
