Rumours of an ALF reboot started floating around last year, but if they do go ahead with the show, producers will have to find a new actor to embody the character. Legendary actor Michu Meszaros, who played ALF for four seasons, has passed away. He was 76.
The Hungarian born actor started his career as a member of the Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus. Due to his height, which was a mere 33 inches tall, he was dubbed "the smallest man on earth."
In the '80s, Meszaros landed the role as the walk-around version of ALF. He was on the show for four seasons.
Meszaros was also a close friend of Michael Jackson, and a regular at the Neverland Ranch.
His manager Dennis Varga confirmed his passing to TMZ. Last week, Meszaros was rushed to the hospital when he was found unresponsive in his home. He had been in a coma ever since.
