While Halloween cosplaying continues to reach new heights of accuracy, a man dressed as Halloween villain Michael Myers took things to the next level by trying to murder two New Yorkers yesterday (October 31).

That said, his weapon of choice was not exactly movie accurate. According to Fox 10, a man in a Michael Myers mask shot a male three times and a female once while Halloween festivities were wrapping up in the Washington Heights area of Manhattan.

The man, 21, was hit in the abdomen, chest and leg, while the girl, 17, was hit in the abdomen. Both are currently hospitalized in stable condition.

According to police, there was a verbal dispute before the shooting took place. The man fled the scene and escaped. In addition to the Michael Myers mask, he was reportedly six feet tall and wore a green hoodie.
