While far from perfect, David Gordon Green's 2018 Halloween did an excellent job revamping the franchise and made some major box-office bank along the way. Now, the movie is reportedly getting a sequel.

According to Collider, multiple sources have said that Blumhouse is planning to start filming a sequel this fall. While nothing has been publicly announced, the film is supposedly being planned for release on October 16, 2020.

It had previously been suggested that Scott Teems was hired to write the script, but Collider also suggests that David Gordon Green will return to both write and direct. And Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer and Andi Matichak are all back on board as well.

Of course, we have yet to get a concrete announcement, but things are looking good for some Michael Myers action in Halloween 2020.
