The Doors released their eponymous debut album. While the city from which the legendary band came is celebrating its January 4 anniversary by naming it "Day of the Doors," Rhino Records announced plans to celebrate the album's half-century birthday by giving it an expanded reissue. The 3-CD/1-LP collection comes with both the stereo and mono mix on separate CDs, with the latter also being included on wax, and a disc containing a live performance at San Francisco's The Matrix. The audio goodness is accompanied with a hardcover photo book and liner notes from David Fricke of Rolling Stone. We want to deliver this hefty package to a lucky entrant.
