"Weird Al" Yankovic Announces Toronto Shows

Following a recent spat with Lady Gaga's people, beloved musical comedy icon "Weird Al" Yankovic has risen triumphantly with permission to use his parody of "Born This Way" on his upcoming new album, Alpocalypse. Now, the Weird Al takeover has got sweeter with the news that the comedy performer will be bringing his many costume changes to Toronto for two performances.

On July 16, Al will take over Massey Hall for two shows, one at 3 p.m. and another at 6 p.m. Better yet, the concerts will be filmed for television. While the details of that are unclear, we're pretty sure Toronto fans don't want to miss their chance to sit in on a Weird Al TV special.

Tickets for the two performances will be available on June 7 at 10 a.m. local time. These are Al's only Canadian shows currently scheduled, but a list of his American dates can be found here.

Alpocalypse will hit stores on June 21 via Volcano. In addition to the Lady Gaga parody, Al takes on music from Miley Cyrus, B.O.B. and T.I., as well as genre parodies of the White Stripes and Queen. Don't worry, there's a polka on there too.
