'SNL' Gets Ryan Gosling and JAY-Z for Season 43 Premiere

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Aug 25, 2017

Saturday Night Live will return for an impressive 43rd season this fall, and the sketch show has just announced the new season's first guests. The season premiere airs September 30 on NBC — and Ryan Gosling and JAY-Z will be along for the ride.

Canadian screen dream Gosling will open Season 43 as the host, in anticipation of Blade Runner 2049, which hits theatres October 6. He previously appeared as an SNL host back in 2015.

JAY-Z, meanwhile, will step up to the plate as the musical guest, presumably treating audience members and viewers alike to a couple 4:44 cuts.

Over the years, the rapper was famously impersonated on SNL by former cast member Jay Pharoah. JAY Z himself recently reimagined some of NBC's original content, revamping Friends for his "Moonlight" video.

Following his appearance on SNL, the rapper will embark on a North American tour later in the fall.

See you at the #SNL Season 43 premiere!
