There are plenty of star-studded comedy events coming up this summer, but few have lineups quite as jaw-dropping as "Take Off, Eh!" The Toronto benefit show will see key members of SCTV and Kids in the Hall team up for one night only.
The show will feature performances from Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis as Bob and Doug McKenzie, Martin Short as Jiminy Glick and appearances from Dan Aykroyd, Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy and Joe Flaherty.
Further, Kids in the Hall members Dave Foley, Scott Thompson and Kevin McDonald will perform alongside Paul Shaffer, Ian Thomas and Murray McLauchlan. Surprise guests are also promised — we really hope that means Geddy Lee will perform "Take Off" with Bob and Doug.
The event seeks to raise funds for Dave Thomas's nephew Jake Thomas, who is now paralyzed from the waist down following a serious spinal cord injury earlier this year.
"Take Off, Eh!" takes place on July 18 at the Second City Mainstage. Tickets for the event run from $500 to $2,500. The top tier tickets also include access to an after-party with the stars.
