Jerrod Carmichael's On the Count of Three will make its world premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, and it's now been revealed that Owen Pallett will score the comedian's directorial debut.
Film Music Reporter points out that Pallet has written an original score for the film, which follows last year's soundtrack for Spaceship 2020 and fifth solo album Island.
On the Count of Three is said to be a comedic thriller centred on "Two guns. Two best friends. And a pact to end their lives when the day is done." Carmichael stars in the film alongside Christopher Abbott, Tiffany Haddish, J.B. Smoove, Lavell Crawford and Henry Winkler.
In addition to Pallett's involvement, a second Canadian connection comes with Ottawa's use as a filming location. In the still above, locals may recognize the Ritchie Feed & Seed patch on Carmichael's boiler suit.
