Noel Fielding Teases the Return of 'The Mighty Boosh'

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Jan 3, 2020

The new year has brought with it some great news for fans of cult U.K. comedy The Mighty Boosh. According to co-creator Noel Fielding, this new decade will feature a whole lot more Boosh — or at least if he has anything to do with it.

On Thursday (January 2), Fielding took to his Instagram to tease the return of the Mighty Boosh, his long-running on-again-off-again project with Julian Barratt.

"There really wasn't enough Boosh this decade!" Fielding wrote alongside a photo of himself and Barratt. "Let's try and rectify that in the next one."

While The Mighty Boosh TV series originally ran for three seasons on the BBC from 2004 to 2007, the Mighty Boosh has taken many forms over the years, including as a radio program and stage show. However, Fielding and Barratt have rarely got the old gang back together in more recent years.

That said, both have remained incredibly busy. Not only is Fielding prepping a new show for Netflix, but he was just on The Big Fat Quiz of the Year (again), as well as serves as a host on The Great British Bake-Off. He's also had multiple acting gigs in recent years and helmed his own TV series Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy.

Barratt, meanwhile, has appeared in a long list of projects, including Flowers, Killing Eve and the 2017 film Mindhorn
