Mitchell Hurwitz is already working on an upcoming fifth season of his hit show Arrested Development for Netflix, but that's not the only comedy he has in the works for the beloved streaming service. The writer and director has teamed up with beloved comedian Maria Bamford for a brand new Netflix series.

Bamford (whose many credits include a recurring role in the fourth season of Arrested Development) will star in Lady Dynamite, a half-hour comedy series loosely based on her life.

While details are scarce, The Hollywood Reporter says the show will be "occasionally surreal" and will cover various different periods from Bamford's life.

Hurwitz wrote the show's pilot alongside Pam Brady (South Park). Hurwitz, Brady and Bamford will all executive produce the show, while Brady will serve as showrunner.

Netflix has ordered 13 episodes of Lady Dynamite, though it's unclear exactly when the series will hit the streaming service.
