Margaret Cho Unveils 'Cho Dependent' Featuring Tegan and Sara, A.C. Newman, Andrew Bird

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Jun 10, 2010

Margaret Cho has already conquered the world of comedy, having starred in both a reality sitcom (The Cho Show) and a one-woman show (I'm the One That I Want). Now, the bawdy comedienne is looking to tackle the world of music, lining up an all-star list of collaborators for her album, Cho Dependent, due out August 24.

Every one of the album's 14 songs features at least one guest, with some of the most notable names being Tegan and Sara, A.C. Newman, Andrew Bird and Fiona Apple. As you'd probably expect, it's got some adult-oriented themes, and track titles include "Gimme Your Seed," "Captain Cameltoe" and "My Puss." Most of all, we can't wait to hear the usually straight-laced A.C. Newman singing on the song "Your Dick."

Cho is performing at Bonnaroo both today (June 10) and tomorrow, although she's appearing in the comedy tent, not on the music stage. According to a recent blog post, she will be filming a music video for the song "Baby I'm with the Band" featuring Raconteurs singer Brendan Benson.

If you head over to Cho's website, you can listen to the album track "Eat Shit and Die" featuring Grant Lee Phillips.
