Other than Saturday Night Live, few sketch comedy shows have had an impressively long run. One of them, however, was MADtv, which aired from 1995 to 2009. To celebrate the show's 20th anniversary, its key cast members will return for a new reunion special.
As Deadline reports, the episode will combine classic clips from the original show with new material. The premise is that MADtv's cast members have gotten back together for an award ceremony that honours the series, but everything goes wrong.
A long list of former MADtv stars has been assembled for the series, including Ike Barinholtz, Alex Borstein, Mo Collins, Crista Flanagan, Anjelah Johnson, Nicole Randall Johnson, Keegan-Michael Key, Phil LaMarr, Artie Lange, Bobby Lee, Michael McDonald, Arden Myrin, Nicole Parker, Eric Price, Will Sasso, Aries Spears, Nicole Sullivan, Stephanie Weir and Debra Wilson.
The MADtv special will air on the CW on January 12.
