The live-action remake of Disney's The Lion King had its world premiere last night (July 9), and Donald Glover did his part to promote the film by dropping by Jimmy Kimmel Live! dressed as his character Simba.

Yes, Glover came out wearing a lion onesie, and when Kimmel joked it was method acting, Glover responded, "This is what we wore every day."

He kept the bit going, joking he studied with Andy Serkis for years to get Simba's movements down and trained with Simba himself for six months.

Glover also talked about Childish Gambino, saying he's probably going to do more shows and loves making music (despite his old claim the musical moniker was retiring). Plus, he opened up about getting to sing with Beyoncé.

He even talked about what he spent his 30 Rock pay cheques on back in college (candy), and touched on the upcoming third season of Atlanta, which was delayed last year. When asked if he was currently working on it, he said, "I think my contract says I have to say yes."
