Comedy Legend Tim Conway Dead at 85

The world has lost a comedy legend with the news that Tim Conway has passed away. The beloved performer died today at the age of 85. 

The news was confirmed to People, explaining that Conway died due to complications from Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH). At the time of his death, he had no signs of dementia or Alzheimer's.

Conway was best known for his work on The Carol Burnett Show, for which he won a Golden Globe in 1976 and Emmys in 1973, 1977 and 1978. One of his most famous sketches on the show was "The Dentist," which remains a favourite among comedy enthusiasts to this day.

Outside of The Carol Burnett Show, Conway starred in McHale's Navy and two iterations of The Tim Conway Show. He also starred in the golf-themed Dorf franchise.

More recently, he appeared in 30 Rock and voiced the character of Barnacle Boy on SpongeBob SquarePants.

Conway is survived by his wife of 35 years, their seven grandchildren and two granddaughters.
