Chris Rock Is Dropping a New Netflix Special Tomorrow

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Feb 13, 2018

Chris Rock recently inked a lucrative deal with Netflix for a pair of comedy specials, and the first one is about to arrive. Titled Tamborine, the hour-long stand-up special will hit the streaming service tomorrow (February 14).

Netflix has teased the new show with a trailer that features, well, a bunch of tamborines.

It comes across like an ad for a new instalment of STOMP, but a press release assures fans that the special will feature Rock covering "the gamut of contemporary issues, with incisive and insightful commentary on life."

It was directed by Bo Burnham, and filmed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York.

The comedian's last stand-up special, Kill the Messenger, was released in 2008. He also returned to the live stage with a world tour last year.
