Saturday Night Live's five-timer club next just got a group of new members in Arcade Fire, who have been announced as the musical guests for May 7's episode.

The Canadian indie rock titans will hit the Studio 8H stage the day after releasing their latest album, WE, and following an already-hefty album cycle, which was punctuated by a performance at Coachella this past weekend.

Now sans founding member Will Butler, their May appearance will be their first since 2018, after having also performed on SNL in 2007, 2010 and 2013.

Arcade Fire will be joined by host Benedict Cumberbatch, who had also been promoting some work in the months leading up to the 2022 awards season, during which his starring role in The Power of the Dog earned him numerous nominations and wins.
