Plants and Animals Embark On A North American Tour

Like all smart Canadians know, the way to stay warm is to stay moving. And perhaps with that bit of simple wisdom in mind, Montreal’s Plants and Animals have lined up quite the winter tour, which finds them trekking across the country and dipping down into the States along the way.

Kicking things off this week in Charlottetown, the indie rockers will play several East coast dates alongside fellow Canucks Wintersleep before heading south to join up with Sub Pop darlings Blitzen Trapper. Plants and Animals will then return to Canadian soil come March, when they’ll play several BC dates before moving on to the Prairies.

With no word of any new album, the dates still be in support of the group’s 2008 breakthrough effort, Parc Avenue, but we wouldn’t be surprised if by now the band are mixing some new stuff into the set.
