Bella - No One Will Know
By Sofi PapamarkoBella sound like Dragonette without the cheese factor and Metric minus the "hipper than thou” attitude. The West coast trio’s Mint debut captures futuristic indie pop at its most danceable. Spin "Give It A Night” and see if you can stand still. That’s not to say that No One Will Know is a winner in every respect, however. Sometimes Tiffany Garrett Sotomayor’s vocals verge on being a bit too precious, but the often-sombre synthesisers accompanying her tend to balance things out. The album stalls in certain places and a few of the better songs take a couple of listens to grow on you but rest assured, the band eventually win you over with their electro charms. Bella make music for robots to fall in love to. Sexy robots.
