I Am Hunger - Odium
By Bradley Zorgdrager Do you remember the Illuminatour? Maybe not, as the tour didn't hop the border to the "True North strong and free," but with the release of I Am Hunger's Odium, you have a chance to relive the whole tour in under 40 minutes. Seriously, it's like this act took Define the Great Line-era Underoath, added in the alternative hardcore of Stray From the Path and post-hardcore of letlive and topped it all off with a healthy dose of melody, ą la Times Of Grace. And they do it well, without sounding forced or contrived. While there's almost no chance that the members of this Swedish band witnessed that U.S. tour, it's refreshing to see a group from the home of melodic death metal practicing a different craft. If they keep honing their skills, maybe they'll eventually get to tour with some of the aforementioned acts. Illuminatour two, anyone?
