Various - Plague Language
By Vish KhannaWith artists based around the world, Guelph, ON-based collective Plague Language celebrates its efforts with a mind-blowing compilation of choice tracks. Founded by Noah23, Plague Language has gone from a glimmer of an imprint to a frame of mind for its horde or MCs and producers. As such, Noah's dynamic flow and culture-sponge perspective show up on a large chunk of these songs, many of which were produced by all-star DJ MadadaM. Their roles infuse this comp with uncommon consistency, although the mood and tone change from track to track. From the mid-tempo over-stimuli of "Nebula," the streetwise fun of "Rosie Rock Bottom," featuring the Main, and the atmospheric high of "Indestructible Drop," Plague Language sports something for every lover of underground hip-hop.
