By Mark BozzerCali-based producers/MCs OhNo and the Alchemist are back together again on wax as head-nod-inducing duo Gangrene, this time twisted off that Vodka and Ayahuasca. On their second effort, OhNo and Alc bring the ruckus on a mind-melding, druggy collection that has the two trading verses and beats with an eclectic collection of friends, such as Evidence, Mobb Deep's Prodigy, Roc C, Roc Marciano and none other than the original badmon himself, Kool G Rap. Check out the title track, which has the two spitting bars and sharing hallucinations over some psychedelic guitar and live instrumentation or the claustrophobic future funk of "Drink Up," which guest MC Roc Marciano easily embodies. While both Alc and OhNo may come from opposite ends of the spectrum, sonically and lyrically, when paired together, they're definitely quite intoxicating and buzz-inducing, much like what mixing Vodka and Ayahuasca (YouTube it) would surely be.
