Wolfmother Break Up, Then Carry On
By Josiah HughesAustralian vintage-rock impresarios Wolfmother have left a huge indent on the modern rock scene with their epic riffs and otherworldly subject matter. With only one full-length under their belt, the trio have toured incessantly and won over fans on a global scale.

According to a report from NME, confirmed by an official statement, bassist/keyboardist Chris Ross and Myles Heskett have resigned, leaving their future in doubt. Fans who saw their performance at the Splendour in the Glass festival on August 3 noted the band "looked tense and uncommunicative with each other.” Similarly, a scheduled radio interview with Australia’s Triple J was cancelled due to "internal issues.”

"I can't make any comment other than to say as soon as the band has clear future plans they will issue a statement,” said their manager, John Hopson. "We hope to be able to do that in the next week or two.” Or day or two. According to blog Brooklyn Vegan, singer/guitarist Andrew Stockdale plans to audition replacements over the next few months, then resurrect the band anew.

In the meantime, kids will have to listen to Zeppelin III or Sabbath Blood Sabbath instead. Just sayin’!
