Winnipeg's Boats Sign to Kill Rock Stars for U.S. Release of Cannonballs, Cannonballs
By Gregory AdamsThough we've been privy to the all-out weirdo polka party that is Boats' sophomore set, Cannonballs, Cannonballs, on this side of the 49th parallel since last summer, our U.S. friends haven't been so lucky. That's all about to change, with the announcement that the Winnipeg, MB-based act have hooked up with indie powerhouse Kill Rock Stars to issue the LP stateside.

Initially pressed on the group's Majestic Triumph, Cannonballs, Cannonballs will be released digitally by Kill Rock Stars on March 1. No word yet on whether the album will be offered up in physical formats. Either way, our neighbours down south will get a taste of the endearing indie poppers and their unbelievably squeaky frontman Mat Klachefsky.

Boats will also be taking off for SXSW next month and have booked a quick tour to Texas and back. Canadian stops include Winnipeg, Edmonton and Calgary. Check out the dates below.
