By Alex HudsonThis year marks the 27th annual instalment of the TD Toronto Jazz Festival, and the organizers of the event have announced some of the high-profile acts who will be performing between June 20 and 29.
There's a bit of an Americana bent to this year's headliners, as the lineup includes country legend Willie Nelson and banjo-plucking funnyman Steve Martin. There's also plenty of soul courtesy of Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, gospel singer Mavis Staples and blues rocker Dr. John.
Other confirmed artists include John McLaughlin and the 4th Dimension, Nikki Yanofsky, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, and the Yeats Project.
Get ticket information for these already announced shows over at the Toronto Jazz Fest's website. Stay tuned for the full lineup of performers to be announce in due course.
