Whitehorse Cover Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot on 'The Road to Massey Hall' Live EP
By Alex HudsonWhitehorse are currently on tour in Canada in support of last year's The Fate of the World Depends on This Kiss. The married folk duo of Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland are evidently pretty excited about their March 2 show at Toronto's Massey Hall, since they just announced plans to gear up for that gig with a live EP called The Road to Massey Hall.

According to a press release, this covers EP is "a celebration of the venue's history and a tribute to those legends that have made the iconic stage their own." The songs are chosen in order to highlight "those who have come to be identified with Canada's premiere venue through memorable performances and live recordings." These artists include Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot, Blue Rodeo and Ron Sexsmith.

The six songs that make up The Road to Massey Hall will be issued online as a series of live videos. The first of these songs to hit the web is a version of the traditional tune "Un Canadien Errant." Watch Whitehorse perform that song at the bottom of this page.

The Road to Massey Hall will be released on iTunes on February 15 through Six Shooter Records. Copies will also be sold at the merch table as a digital accompaniment to limited edition poster prints.

See the EP tracklist below along with Whitehorse's tour schedule with Daniel Lanois.

2. Dark Angel (Blue Rodeo)
