Ty Segall's Fuzz Announce New 7-Inch, Plot Debut Album
By Alex HudsonA few months back, Ty Segall unveiled a new band called Fuzz and released a 7-inch, which promptly sold out. Soon, this new project — which features Segall on drums and vocals, Roland Cosio on bass and Charlie Moothart on guitar — will drop a follow-up single.

The new seven-inch is called "Sleigh Ride" and it's due out April 16 through In the Red. So far, not much else is known about the release, but an announcement notes, "The band more than live up to their name with a a sludgy, heavy, psyched-out proto-metal sound that is steeped in shredding fuzztone guitar. Comparisons to Blue Cheer, the Jimi Hendrix Experience and Black Sabbath have been made and are not far off the mark."

You can also see its cover above.

The original 7-inch reportedly sold out in around 10 minutes, so you're likely going to have to act fast if you want to get your hands on a copy of this. Excitingly, Fuzz will reportedly follow up their 7-inches will a full-length LP, due out later this year.

As we noted in our recent breakdown of Record Store Day exclusives, Segall will be revisiting his Ty Rex project with a 7-inch containing some new T. Rex covers.
