Tom Gabel's Transgender Reveal, Carl Newman's New Solo Album and the "Full Flex Express" Tour Lead Our News Roundup
By Brock ThiessenWith another workweek of news gathering officially in the can, we've once again gathered a selection of some of our top stories. If you fear that you might have missed something, come on over and dig into our roundup.

First off, Beastie Boys were still making headlines this week following the tragic passing of Adam "MCA" Yauch. After countless online tributes, fellow Beasties Ad Rock and Mike D each penned some words about their fallen bandmate. But in horrible case of bad timing, the band were also struck with a copyright infringement lawsuit, which was filed right before Yauch's passing.

Meanwhile, fans of Against Me! were met with quite the shocker this week, as frontman Tom Gabel revealed that he plans to begin living as woman. It was a bold move, for sure, but expect Gabel's contributions in his band's liner notes to soon be filed under "Laura Jane Grace."

Also this week, we had the announcement of the "Full Flex Express" tour, which will feature artists such as Skrillex, Grimes and Diplo travelling across Canada via rail, while Iggy Pop revealed he'll be collaborating with Ke$ha and famed Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich announced a new band of his own.

Then there was Carl Newman revealing his plans for his next solo album, Japandroids talking to us about their Celebration Rock and Turbonegro marking their return with a new full-length, their first without frontman Hank Von Helvete.

And finally, did did Sony actually screw up My Bloody Valentine's new Loveless reissue? Some fans out there definitely think so.
