Steve Reich Draws Inspiration from Radiohead for New Piece
By Josiah HughesAmerican legend Steve Reich is one of the best-known minimal classical composers of his time, and he's already amassed an astonishing collection of works. He will add to that list with a new piece directly inspired by Radiohead next year.

Pitchfork points to an article in the Guardian, where London Sinfonietta executive Andrew Burke explains that the piece is called "Radiohead Rewrite," and draws directly from the band's "Everything In its Right Place" and "Jigsaw Falling Into Place."

Reich initially became interested in Radiohead after seeing Jonny Greenwood's performance in Wroclaw, Poland last year (which you can see here).

"Radiohead Rewrite" will be performed on March 5, 2013 at London's Southbank Centre. Reich will be joined by 13 other musicians for the piece.

Amazing! Reich and Radiohead are two of my all time faves. Never thought I'd see them connected in some way.
