By Alex HudsonIf you're at Canadian Music Week and looking for an activity that both you and your dad will enjoy, then you're in luck. This Friday (March 11), two generations of Canuck rock will come together when Randy Bachman and Fred Turner sit in with the Sadies. And sweetening the deal will be former Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar, who will make also a guest appearance.
This event is part of the Sirius Satellite Radio secret show. It will go down at Toronto's Mod Club at 7 p.m. Tickets are $28, but they're currently sold out at the Canadian Music Fest website. You might be able to get tickets from Rotate This or Soundscapes, but we're not promising anything. If those options don't work out, you can always try your luck with scalpers.
Randy Bachman and Fred Turner were the titular members of Bachman-Tuner Overdrive who penned hits like "Takin' Care of Business" and "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet." The pair now perform simply as Bachman & Turner.
Sammy Hagar, meanwhile, has been a solo performer, as well as a member of Van Halen. He recently played in Chickenfoot with Joe Satriani, Chad Smith (of Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Michael Anthony (of Van Halen).
