By Alex HudsonRoger Waters' revival tour for Pink Floyd's The Wall has already given us multiple legs, rumours of a DVD, accusations of anti-semitism and the defacement of an Elliott Smith memorial. Soon, the tour will come to an appropriately epic finale with a newly announced show on July 21 at the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City.
A press release promises that the gig will make history by being Waters' biggest Wall show since his performance at the Berlin Wall in 1990. The concert will boast a surround sound system and a bigger-than-ever wall of over 250 metres, plus extra lighting, pyrotechnics and "many more surprises."
Waters said in a statement, "I've always loved playing in Quebec. The Québécois are a very passionate and musical people and we'll be playing on the Fields of Abraham. This is going to be completely unlike any of The Wall shows we've done anywhere else in the world."
At the bottom of the page, watch a trailer for the show, in which Rogers talks about the gig and shows off his French skills.
Wristbands will be first made available to folks who have already purchased passes to this year's Festival d'été de Québec. These initial sales are currently underway and run until May 31. Register for a wristband here.
Remaining wristbands will go on sale to the public on June 5.

This promises to be a GREAT show. I got my ticket and I'll be there!
By the way you have a couple of errors in your blog about this show. In the first paragraph, you say the show is on July 31st-it should read July 21st. Also during the listing of the various dates, you mispelled the location. It should read: Les Plaines d'Abraham.
My girlfriend took me to the ultimate of birthday presents (albeit 7 months later). The Wall in Philadelphia-CItizens Bank Park. Best seats, best sound, best state of the art effects. Even better show than the last tour in Philadelphia. But, better than when I saw Pink Floyd performing the Wall at Nassau Coliseum in NY? Perhaps just the experience. What could surpass that? I 'll bet the Quebec finale will. Hope there is plenty of video. All the hype is true...You must see this tour in your lifetime.
