By Josiah HughesFinally, there's some good news coming from the MF Doom camp. With Stones Throw just recently issuing a sequel to Madvillain, comes reports that there is a new Doom solo record on the way.
According to a sales sheet from Lex Records, the rapper will release a new solo LP under the name Doom titled Born Into This on October 21. Alongside production from Danger Mouse and J Dilla, the record also promises guest spots from Ghostface and Raekwon. The record is the first new Doom material in four years.
The release also mentions that "Doom has been involved in a number of collaborations with the industry's finest and has upcoming projects scheduled with Ghostface, a Madvillain 2 project and more.” In other words, it’s still possible that the proper Madvillain sequel and Ghostface collaboration LPs will surface at one point or another.
