By Alex HudsonTo cap off the summer, Quebec's Festival de musique émergente (Emerging Music Festival) will be returning for another go-around. Now in its 10th year, the festival organizers have confirmed the acts who will be coming to Rouyn-Noranda, QC (in the region of Abitibi-Témiscamingue), from August 30 to September 2.
Presented in partnership with SiriusXM Canada and Scene 1425, this year's FME will feature Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Plants and Animals, Timber Timbre, Radio Radio, Louis-Jean Cormier (of Karkwa acclaim), Julien Sagot (also of Karkwa), Half Moon Run, Fanny Bloom, Loco Locass, Catherine Durand, Keith Kouna, Les Dale Hawerchuk, Kandle, and more.
CORRECTION: Despite her name being left of the festival press release, Feist will play the event as well.
To mark the 10th anniversary of the event, the organizers focused on "bands and artists that became, through the years, pillars of their respective music genres," who will perform at venues around Rouyn-Noranda.
