Quebec's Duckstock Festival Ropes in Doldrums, Daniel Isaiah for 2012 Edition
By Alex HudsonCanadian music fans will be spoiled for choice this summer. The latest in a long line of festival announcements is the fifth annual Duckstock, which will run from August 10 to 11 in Rivière Rouge, QC.

The festival will be held at Rivière Rouge's Camping Le Fou du Roi. This marks a departure from previous instalments of the festival, which took place at Lac Marier in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, QC. The acts performing at this year's event include Doldrums, Daniel Isaiah, Solaryear, Technical Kidman, Sea Oleena, the Jon Cohen Experimental, Sweet Mother Logic, Caroline Keating and more.

The festival looks to combine "rustic camping and amazing indie rock show," and a press release compares the camping setup to Wolfe Island Music Festival or SappyFest. The organizers hope to "unite the best emerging acts of the Montreal area" and showcase the vibrancy of the city's music scene in a new setting. Of course, there are artists from other cities too -- headliners Doldrums are based in Toronto.

Tickets are available at the Duckstock website and cost $25 for the Friday, $35 for the Saturday, or $40 for the whole weekend. Your admission includes camping privileges.
