The Postal Service Confirm Reunion, Prep Anniversary Edition of 'Give Up'
By Josiah HughesEarlier this month, the rumour mill was picking up with suggestions that Death Cab for Cutie main man Ben Gibbard and DNTEL's Jimmy Tamborello would be reuniting as the Postal Service. Now, the band have seemingly confirmed the news with a new cryptic website.

If you head over to their newly launched URL thepostalservicemusic.net, you'll see the above graphic. While it's not an explicit "YES WE ARE REUNITING" message, the addition of the year 2013 certainly suggests that they'll be up to something this year.

The rumour that started it all was a simple Brooklyn Vegan post earlier this month, which suggested that the band would be performing live at Coachella. The lineup for the desert-set music festival is yet to be announced, but we're starting to feel pretty certain that the Postal Service will be on the bill.

UPDATE: Billboard has confirmed that the Postal Service will play at this year's Coachella festival. Additionally, Sub Pop will release a 10th anniversary edition of 2003's Give Up.

Don't expect a new album, though — at least not until Buckethead signs up as guitarist. After all, Ben Gibbard considers it "the Chinese Democracy of indie rock."
