Pete Namlook's Passing, Trent Reznor's QOTSA Team-Up and Hey Rosetta!'s Holidays EP Lead This Week's News Roundup
By Brock ThiessenWith another news week in the bag, we've sifted through the headlines to present our news roundup. If you worry you might have missed something this week, fear not: we got you covered.

First up, for a bit of sad news, we learned this week that German electronic pioneer Pete Namlook had passed away. The producer, who helmed the FAX +49-69/450464. label and worked with the likes of Richie Hawtin, Karl Berger and Klaus Schulze over the years, died of unspecified causes but was reportedly 51 at the time of his death.

Then there was the Flaming Lips spearheading a King Crimson covers album, while Trent Reznor broke the news that he's working with Queens of the Stone Age on a new track, and Chief Keef stood up 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa at the young rapper's own video shoot.

Also, we had Blink-182 shedding some light on a new EP, Rancid's Tim Armstrong announcing a new album as Tim Timebomb, Prince shutting down a tribute site made in the Purple One's honour, Hey Rosetta! offering up a holidays EP, and Dirty Beaches revealing that he'll release his Waterpark score.

Finally, in some Exclaim! interviews, we spoke to Emeralds about their departure with Just to Feel Anything, as well as interviewed Oneohtrix Point Never dude Daniel Lopatin about his Tim Hecker collaboration and got the scoop on Ben Folds Five's new "ambient" album.
