Pearl Jam Documentary Gets TV Release Date
By Alex HudsonTo go along with their recent reissues and anniversary festival, grunge gods Pearl Jam are celebrating their two-decade career with a new documentary. Entitled Pearl Jam Twenty, we've already seen a teaser for the movie, and now we have a firm release date to mark on our calendars.

Seattle, WA radio station 107.7 The End notes that the documentary will hit the small screen on October 21. It will be shown on PBS as part of the series American Masters. It's possible that the film will receive a limited theatrical release before being aired on TV.

It's sure to be a quality flick, since it was directed by acclaimed Hollywood filmmaker Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire). Read more about the documentary here.

In other Pearl Jam news, the group are touring Canada in September and have a book on the way. On top of that, they're planning a new album and frontman Eddie Vedder will release a solo LP later this month. Not bad for a band celebrating their 20th anniversary.
