NOFX Urged to Be Banned from Canada, Chief Keef Investigated over Gang-related Murder and Toronto's Hits & Misses Announces Closure in Our News Roundup
By Brock ThiessenWith another busy news week down, we're back to help you make sense of it. Below you'll find just some of the top stories that graced our news pages this week.

First up, there was a lot of controversy in the news this week. On this side of the border, a publication called The Canadian Immigration Report called for NOFX to be banned from Canada over, um, "calling for white genocide." Apparently, the organization had only just heard NOFX's 20-year-old song "Kill All the White Man," and despite the punkers playing countless Canadian dates over the years, the CIR is now urging Toronto's Riot Fest to cancel the group's Sunday (September 9) performance. For some strange reason, we kinda doubt that's going to happen.

In some other NOFX news, Exclaim! also talked to Fat Mike all about the band's upcoming Self Entitled album and new DVD.

Back on the controversy front, Chief Keef landed in some serious hot water after the murder of rival rapper Joseph "JoJo" Coleman. Following some less than tactful tweets from Keef, he is now being investigated by Chicago police in connection to the gang-related murder. And in the midst of all this, Lupe Fiasco announced he's going to retire from the rap game following some online beefing with Keef.

In other news, early this week we got G.O.O.D.'s Cruel Summer tracklist and more confirmed guests like Jay-Z, Ghostface and Ma$e, while the long-dormant Shocking Pinks revealed plans for a new EP and album, Animal Collective talked to Exclaim! all about their Centipede HZ and Nick Cave shed light on his new record with the Bad Seeds.

Finally, in a truly sad bit of news, Toronto punk record store Hits & Misses announced it is closing.
