By Alex HudsonA few weeks ago, we caught wind that Vancouver pop eclectics Mother Mother were plotting a new album called The Sticks, which they said would be out this fall. As promised, the band have now confirmed the details of their fourth full-length, which will be out on September 18 through Last Gang Records.
The album was co-produced by Mother Mother frontman Ryan Guldemond, along with Ben Kaplan, who has worked with artists as diverse as Shakira, Mudvayne and Alexisonfire. According to a press release, the 14-track collection "upholds Mother Mother's tradition of tri-harmony vocal arrangements and dynamic instrumentation, while making for the group's most eclectic and rich album to date."
For a taste of what the band have cooked up, listen to the single "Let's Fall in Love," along with the title track, right here. Judging by these tunes, the new songs are another step away from the band's folk roots, as they blend glossy pop production with just a hint of quirky menace.

"Let's Fall in Love" will hit iTunes tomorrow (July 17), at which time fans will also be able to pre-order The Sticks, along with the bonus B-side "All Gone."
