By Alex HudsonLil Wayne's stint in prison back in 2010 was an eventful one, as the rapper spent his eight months behind bars penning public letters and getting busted for contraband while a "Free Weezy" campaign gained momentum in the outside world. Now, he is chronicling his time in the clink with a prison memoir.
Fittingly titled Gone Till November, the book will arrive on shelves on November 28 via Grand Central Publishing. The book is based on diaries entries that Weezy penned while in the slammer.
"We are thrilled to be publishing Wayne's prison memoir," said Grand Central Publishing executive editor Ben Greenberg in a statement. "He kept detailed journals of his inner and outer life while he was on Rikers Island, and they certainly tell a story. They are revealing."
