The Knife's Self-Titled Debut and 'Deep Cuts' Set for Vinyl Reissues
By Gregory AdamsNow that dark electro-pop experimenters the Knife have issued their epic Shaking the Habitual, the Swedish duo are set to re-explore their back catalogue via a pair of vinyl reissues.

Both the band's self-titled debut and sophomore set Deep Cuts are set to arrive back on LP on August 27 through Artist Intel. The Knife was originally issued on CD back in 2001 by Swedish label Rabid Records, but was later repressed by Mute in North America and Brille in the UK. This will be the first-ever vinyl release for the 11-track album.

Deep Cuts, meanwhile, dropped back in 2003, and was first release in North America in 2006. While the double-LP had been pressed on wax by Brille, this latest edition will be the first North American vinyl pressing.

Before the re-releases arrive, the Knife will issue their Shaking the Habitual single "A Tooth for an Eye" as a 12-inch single through Mute. That record hits store July 23.
