By Alex HudsonFor Neutral Milk Hotel fans who have spent the past decade and a half waiting for reclusive songwriter Jeff Mangum to return, it doesn't get any better than this: later this year, Mangum will be playing a number of solo shows, including two Canadian dates.
There are eight North American performances in total, the first two which will take place at Toronto's Trinity-St. Paul's United Church on August 12 and 13. After that, he will play a number of shows on the U.S. East Coast. Tickets for the Canadian dates will go on sale February 25.
In December, Mangum will curate an instalment of the festival All Tomorrow's Parties in Somerset, England. That means that he will be choosing around 40 artists to play the weekend-long event, as well as performing a set himself. Among the bands already confirmed to appear are Superchunk, the Apples in Stereo, the Olivia Tremor Control and the Raincoats.
See Mangum's full live schedule below.
