By Alex HudsonIf you're a Vancouverite without plans on New Year's Eve yet, then we've got the show for you. A number of the city's indie acts will be teaming up to ring in the new year with the fifth instalment of an annual show called One Night Stand at the city's Media Club.
Like past events, this year's One Night Stand V will feature local musicians from a number of groups joining up for an evening of cover tunes. Participants this year include Hannah Georgas, Tyler Bancroft and Spencer Schoening of Said the Whale, Jasmin Parkin of Mother Mother, Tariq Hussain of Brasstronaut, Adaline, Dominique Fricot, Andrea Lo of the Belle Game, and more.
The organizers are encouraging concertgoers to request songs by commenting on Facebook or tweeting with the hashtag #ONS2012, meaning that it's possible the artists will play your favourite tune if you ask nicely enough.
If you purchase an early bird ticket now, it will cost $30. After November 28 at noon, advance tickets cost $35. Tickets at the door are $40. Learn more at Facebook and buy tickets here.
