By Josiah HughesBack in September, Green Day revealed that they were planning a live album, telling an audience in Denver, CO, "Hey, I just want to tell you something right now. We're recording a live fucking album right now." Now, that album has a release date and the equally explicit album title Awesome as Fuck.
According to an Amazon pre-order, the set will be available as a CD/DVD combo and will be released this spring. AUX reports that the CD portion includes recordings taken on Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown tour, while the DVD includes two concert films taken in Tokyo.
Awesome as Fuck will reportedly be released on March 15 and is now available for pre-order here.
UPDATE: As MTV News reports, a spokesperson for Reprise Records has confirmed the live album.
