Garbage Wrapping Up Recording Sessions for New Album
It's been almost a year since '90s alt-rockers Garbage announced they had got back together, but the wait for new material from the "I'm Only Happy When It Rains" merchants seems to be almost over. Some new posts on the outfit's Facebook page have revealed they're nearly done their next album.

First the band posted "OK we're back in the studio today, we have 3 more weeks booked to hopefully finish everything!"
Then they uploaded a mini-trailer for the next record, which follows 2005's Bleed Like Me, that features some atmospheric guitar tracks and a slow pan to a whiteboard with what could be a few scrawled song titles: "Euchre," "Arm Wrestling" and "Girl Mask Scooter."
"Years' worth of pent-up music came out in some bizarre ways -- bleary cellphone memos became real songs, conversations turned into lyrics, and new computer gizmos inspired wicked tangents," the group said in a joint statement. "Ghosts came in, had their say. Everyone brought ideas, and everyone fought their corner. At the end of the day it all gets shoved through the four-way brain filter that is Garbage and it ends up sounding like nobody else. Red feathers and black tar."
Neither a title for the set nor a street date has been set, but the band tweeted last month that a new tune would be premiering in early October. Also, the new album is expected in spring 2012.
