By Alex HudsonThe last time Friendly Fires booked a Toronto show, it didn't go so well. Just two weeks ago, the group had to cancel their performance at the city's Phoenix Theatre after drummer Jack Savidge was hospitalized due to exhaustion. They will hopefully have better luck this fall, as the Brit-rocking trio just scheduled a new Toronto date for October.
This will be part of a North American outing that includes another performance in Vancouver. This time, they'll be playing at the Commodore Ballroom -- an upgrade from the smaller Venue, where they played earlier this month. There are also a slew of U.S. dates.
This North American outing is just another leg of Friendly Fires' massive 2011 tour. In the coming months, they've got shows in Europe, Australia and Japan. Another UK tour will follow in November. Hopefully this won't lead to more exhaustion for the hard-working group.
