By Alex HudsonCan't wait for Feist to come through Canada on her upcoming Metals tour? Then we've got some good news for you: more than a month prior to her Canadian dates, the beloved songstress will be launching her new album with an exclusive Toronto show.
The gig will take place at the city's Glenn Gould Studio on October 8. Among the special guests who will appear alongside Feist are Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, Grizzly Bear's Ed Droste, the Constantines' Bry Webb, the Hidden Cameras' Joel Gibb, and Doug Paisley.
But the only way to get in is to win tickets from the CBC. To enter, go here and write a blurb about "the band or musician that you discovered thanks to the CBC."
Contest winners will be announced on September 26. For Canadians who don't live in Toronto, your tickets also come with airfare and hotel accommodations.
For the majority of us who don't get to attend the show, portions of the gig will air on CBC Radio 2 as part of CBC's 75th anniversary celebrations on November 2.
