Death Grips Reportedly Cancel North American Tour to Work on New Album
By Alex HudsonWe hope that you weren't too excited about Death Grips' upcoming North American tour, since the Sacramento doom rap outfit have evidently cancelled all of their shows in order to work on a new album.

A post on their Facebook page reads, "we are dropping out to complete our next album NO LOVE. see you when it's done. (there are no longer any scheduled shows)."

The band's fans are evidently upset about the news, with many Facebook commenters complaining that they had already purchased tickets. It's unclear whether Death Grips plan to offer refunds or honour tickets at a later date, or if they will fulfil any of their festival engagements.

Fans have have been understandably blindsided by this announcement, since Death Grips expanded their tour schedule just a couple of weeks ago. See the reportedly canceled dates here.

The band recently spoke with Exclaim about the forthcoming album, saying, "No Love is two-thirds complete and sort of a culmination of our two previous releases. We think it'll end up being the heaviest thing we've made so far on many levels. It's striking us as the closest we've gotten to what our initial vision of what Death Grips would sound like. We have the feeling and it's pretty absolute that this album will contain our most future-forward and potent material."
