Daft Punk Treated to New Set of Action Figures
By Alex HudsonDaft Punk have achieved new levels of ubiquity so far in 2013, and now the much-loved French electronic duo have had their latest look memorialized with a pair of nifty-looking action figures.

The figurines are created by Bandai and Japan's S.H. Figuarts, and they feature the duo's latest outfits for Random Access Memories. The toys were reportedly created with supervision from Daft Punk members Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo themselves.

According to a product description, the figurines were "crafted with meticulous attention to detail — [the] helmet area employs a shiny metallic finish and clear parts for enhanced realism." What's more, they feature "advanced S.H. Figuarts articulation and seven sets of left/right interchangeable hand parts for recreation of dynamic posing."

The toys won't officially be out until later this year, with a projected Japanese release date set for November and a global date shortly after that. You can see a rather awesome photo gallery here.

Japanese order site CDJapan lists the release date as November 28, while Amazon.com has them coming out in North America on December 27.

The two figures are sold separately, and pre-orders are currently available. Get them from Amazon right here and here, or from CDJapan right here and here.
